The Pack Report is published by Rip Station. We say so on every page so you can weigh what we write accordingly. Figures are quoted from the sources linked, with the date we read them. Terms change; check the operator before you rely on a number.

Arena Club grades its own cards, vaults them, sells them in Slab Packs and runs the marketplace they resell on. Rip Station buys PSA, BGS and CGC slabs and sells random pulls from a third-party vault. The models are different enough that the comparison is mostly about trust design.

Where Arena Club is ahead

  • Categories and apps. Sports, Pokemon, One Piece, Star Wars, Lorcana; native iOS and Android.
  • Per-card odds. Hit rates for specific cards are published before purchase.
  • An insurance option. 'Safe Slab' at 10 percent extra guarantees at least 80 percent of the pack price or 90 percent of estimated value, a product no one else offers.
  • Grading as a service. $14 to grade and vault a raw card; PSA, BGS, SGC and CGC slabs vaulted free.

Where Rip Station is ahead

  • Independent grades. Every card carries a PSA, BGS or CGC cert you can look up. Arena Club's Slab Packs carry Arena Club grades, so the seller is also the grader.
  • A published buyback. 83 percent of a timestamped estimate for seven days. Arena Club publishes no rate; reviews place its offer near 80 percent or 'up to 90,' set by the house.
  • Fees. Rip Station's marketplace fee is not published but its auctions carry a 3 percent buyer premium; Arena Club's seller fee is 10 percent.
  • International. Rip Station ships worldwide with a $5 handling fee; Arena Club is US-focused and its Trustpilot (1.7 from 38) is driven by international shipping totals.

Call it

Arena Club if you want sports cards and an app and you are in the US. Rip Station if you want third-party grades, a published buyback and worldwide shipping. Neither offers verifiable randomness. Rip Station publishes this site.

How we compared

We read each platform's own pages first (FAQ, docs, terms, help centre) on the date above and quoted what they say. Where a site could not be read without a browser, or published nothing, we fell back to dated third-party reviews and marked them. Percentages are not interchangeable across rows: a buyback quoted against "insured value" set by the platform, against "fair market value" from an undisclosed method, and against a timestamped estimate from public comps are three different promises. Every cell carries a numbered source. If a platform changes a term, the number here is wrong until we re-read it; check the operator before relying on it.
