Updated with the October 14, 2026 issue; levels run to October 14, 2026. The Index is a proprietary model built and maintained by Rip Station, which publishes The Pack Report. We say so here and on every page that cites it.
The Pack Report Index tracks the price of graded Pokemon cards as two baskets: vintage (the ten most-traded cards in each of twelve sets from 1999 to 2007) and modern (the same, for twelve sets from 2016 on). Every card is priced, grade by grade, by Rip Station's pricing engine from public comps. June 1, 2026 = 100.
Where the trend is

How the Index is built
The model is Rip Station's. Rip Station runs a pricing engine that estimates the market value of every graded Pokemon card it tracks, separately for each grader-and-grade lane (PSA 10, CGC 9.5, BGS 9 and so on), from public sale comps. The Index is built on those estimates and nothing else; no exchange, grader or third party publishes it, and Rip Station has an interest in the cards it prices, which it discloses on its own site and we disclose here.
- Baskets. Twelve vintage sets: Base Set, Legendary Collection, Skyridge, XY-P Promotional cards, Expedition Base Set, EX Team Rocket Returns, EX Deoxys, Neo Destiny, EX Holon Phantoms, Team Rocket, Neo Genesis, EX Unseen Forces. Twelve modern sets: Evolutions, Ascended Heroes, Generations, Celebrations, Crown Zenith, Fates Collide, 151, Paldea Evolved, BREAKpoint, Celebrations: Classic Collection, Pokémon Card 151, Shining Legends. Within each set, the ten cards with the most sales volume over the previous thirty days when the basket was set.
- Daily level. For each card, the ratio of today's estimate to the June 1, 2026 estimate, averaged across its lanes. The basket level is 100 times the median of those ratios. A lane only counts on a day if its latest comp is within seven days and the engine does not flag it low-confidence.
- Weekly reading. Each issue of The Pack Report reports the basket's median week-over-week change on the issue date, with the count of cards up, flat and down. The weekly readings and the daily level are two views of the same data; the weekly reading is what the newsletter prints, the daily level is what this chart draws.
- Why the median. One chase card re-pricing by 50 percent would drag an average; the median tells you what the typical card in the basket did.
- Gaps. The engine produced no new comps from September 15, 2026 to September 30, 2026; levels were carried forward and the issues in that window said so. The shaded band on the chart marks it. The jump that follows is the catch-up.
- What it is not. Not an investable index, not a prediction, not independent of its publisher. It is the clearest view we have of what graded Pokemon cards are doing week to week, and we show our work so you can decide how much to trust it.
